Thanksgiving dinner

I had a few people from class over last night for a thanksgiving dinner. I started out with going grocery shopping. I've never really paid attention to celery... it took me like 10 minutes before I could find a small little box with celery hidden in a corner. All the other ingredients were no problem finding. When I got back home I started preparing everything.

Last nights menu:
Turkey with herbs, chili and garlic
Sweet potatoes with cinnamon and nutmeg
Cranberry sauce
Gravy
Mashed potatoes
Stuffing with celery, onion and apple
Roasted carrots
Butternut squash

And after all that, a banana caramel pie

I was stuffed after all of that!! Everything turned out really good.

HAC

I miss HAC.. I need HAC!! Not like it would be fun to take a class there again (oh I wish I could) but like I need HAC to get off my fat ass and start moving again. I haven't been working out for real since I got back home. It's cold and rainy outside so no fun to go for a run. I really have to get my act together and sign up at a gym.. but they are all so far away! Camilla (a friend in class) found a place that have kickboxing classes so we are going to sign up for that after Christmas =)

I have to get my act together and start going for more walks! That's atleast a start..

Windy

It's a bit windy outside.. or a bit is definitely an understatement. Trees are falling and sounds like the roof is going to fly away any second. I should be happy, we still have power, which we lost during the last big storm. I know also have an even better reason to stay inside and study. But I don't like the noise that the wind makes.. it's scary. Why are those noises always worst where my room is?

Some hot chocolate with marshmallows and a movie is what's best when it's windy..or stormy and rainy outside.

My goal for this weekend

My goal for this weekend was to leave my bed as little as possible. Food and bathroom was only time it was okay to get up. No, I'm not sick! My goal to leave bed as little as possible this weekend was only so I would get as much studying done as possible. If I'm in bed there's not much else to do than study. I have a big exam coming up, on Friday next week. I've been stressed out about this exam for the last couple of weeks.. It's a big one! Not only do we have to learn the names of everything in Swedish..but also in Latin. Luckily the names of everything in Latin is similar to sometimes the Swedish words, but a lot of the times to many English words, that is making it a little bit easier. I got a lot of studying done actually, pretty proud of myself for that.

So many memories!

I met up with Alex today at a cafe/lunch place for lunch. it was only the second time I've seen her since I got back home. Both of us are busy in school with exams, homework and everything else there is. Crazy! We realized it was more than a year ago that we "took a bath" on the fountain in Philadelphia and almost a year ago since we went to Miami. So many memories! I'm glad that I have friends here (and in the US) that I share these memories with.

We missed you today Emmy!

a night out

My class is divided up into 12 different groups. My group is awesome!! We all went out last night. We started last night with dinner at Camilla's place. Tobey had made spaghetti sauce that was really good. We did a lot of talking and we played a couple of games =) We then took a taxi to the place/bar/dance place that we were going to spend the rest of the night. It was a lot of fun!!!

Josefin's Bday

Josse is now 21 aswell! She invited me and Sofia over to celebrate and eat some birthday cake. It was a fun evening... and the cake was more than good =) I got her a gift card she can use at any store she wants at the mall.

Halloween

Halloween in the US is so much better than here. But anyway... I dressed up in my costume and then celebrated Halloween in Lund with people from school. I used my fairy wings I had my first Halloween in the US, a "princess crown" and a magic wand. It turned out pretty cool =) It was a fun couple of hours of hanging out.
