I thought fall was longer than a week..?!

The weather was pretty nice when I got back to Sweden 1,5 weeks ago. The leaves on the trees had started to change color and it started to get colder outside. We had some really nice fall days... But that was then. I had to be in Lund at 6.30 this morning for my first day or "work" at the hospital. I thought I was gonna freeze to death or something. It was still fall in my mind so I got dress thinking that, oh was I wrong. It was 1,5 degrees Celsius (about 34 F)!!!! It was so cold. There were one of the nurses I worked with today that had ice on her windshield when she got out to her car this morning!!

Winter is coming way to early!!!!!

Game night

I had some friends over last night. We had some talking to do and most important of all... the games =) Elisabet suggested Friday night that we could play some games but we never did. So we decided that why not meet up again yesterday (Saturday) and play games? And so we did. We played to games. The second game (Alias) was the best. You play the game in teams, Elisabet and I were one team and Sofia and Josefin were one team. You get a bunch of cards and are then supposed to explain the words to your teammate that is supposed to guess what word you are trying to explain.

One of the best explanations was about the whale:
- It's something really big that live in the ocean
- Blue whale
- Take away the color
- SHARK!!!!

Finally Friday

It's been a fun week, but a long week. I'm not used to having to sit still a listen to someone talk for hours. Almost all the classes I have are 3 hours long!!! They seem to be forever long when you sit there and some of the teachers talk. I don't think I'm that far behind actually, I just have a little but of reading to do to catch up with everybody else.

Friday night. What else are there to do but to celebrate Elisabet. She turned 21 in the beginning of this week. She had a few people over for dinner. It was really good. It was a couple (or more) of different Mexican dishes. We had a lot of fun and we did what girls do best, talk and talk and talk!! haha =) Of course. Thank your for tonight Elisabet!

My first day

I had my first day of school today. It was fun but i felt a bit lost. They have doe so much during the first three week, but everything went fine. The teacher we had today was talking about differents laws and stuff that controls everything a nurse does and doesn't do. I met my group today and they were all very nice =)

I met up with Sofia and Josefin after school to go and sign up for "Lunds nation and vårdvetenskapliga kåren". Then we went to the bookstore and I found some of the books I'm supposedto have for this class. Can still not believe how wxpensive they were. It's crazy! Then we ate lunch at Kulturen, a pie with green onion and mushrooms. Yummy!!!

Back in Sweden again

Got back to Sweden today. Left Philly Friday night at 9.30 (American time) and landed in Sweden at 3.30 PM Swedish time (9.30 am American time). Everything went well and got in to Copenhagen a little early. Got all my bags =)

Back in PA and packing again

I got back to PA last night. Feels good to be back! Went to Buffalo wild wing today with Julia for lunch. Had one last salad there. It was so good!

I had all my stuff here kinda packed up in suitcases and boxes. But now I have to repack everything to see if i maybe can fit all my stuff in my three suitcases... mission impossible! haha The whole floor in the basement is covered with clothes and I don't know what.

Packing

I'm going back up to Pennsylvania tomorrow. It's going to be so much fun to see everyone again, and I can't wait to see my kids! My plan is to pack up most of my stuff today so I can go to the beach one last time tomorrow. It feels like everything I do now I'm doing for the last time.. last time I'm going to the beach, last time I'm going to the pool... it's really hard! I fear for tomorrow.. I have to say good bye to Mike... but I'll see him again in December and I'm really excited about that! Okay... it's time to start packing!

I miss my kids!

I called home yesterday to talk to the kids. I miss them so much! It was really fun to hear them again. Lily got a little upset but she was excited about second grade. Luke was his goofy self and happy as could be =) But it's not log now until I get to see them again. Flying back to Philly on Wednesday next week!

BBQ

A friend of Mike and Frankie had a BBQ Saturday night. He had another one a couple of weeks ago and someone then found out that he's in the top 20 of best BBQers in the US! He didn't go for the usual hot dogs and hamburgers, oh no!! He made yak, bison, antelope, alligator, crocodile, rabbit, ostrich, pork, beef and shrimp! Everything but the yak was just amazingly good!! Never thought I would eat rabbit... but I tried it and it was almost the best thing on the table. I liked crocodile better than alligator, alligator were more slime but still good.

We spent most of Sunday on the beach. We didn't leave until after the sun had set. The sun set was really beautiful!

Damn it

It feels like it doesn't matter how much time i send in the sun, I don't get any more tan. I was more tan than this last summer... but doesn't seem like it's going to happen this year. But whatever! I'm spending a month in Florida and I love it!!

By the way, I got one of the books yesterday that I have to read for school. It's the only book on the list that's in English. I started to read it last night, and even after two years here I'm having a hard time with it... But it's interesting and hopefully I'll get into it soon enough =)
