It's been a little windy...

We have had two evenings with really bad weather this weekend, both Friday and Sunday was a bit windy. There were no signs of bad weather during the days but man hell broke loose at night. Friday night was rainy windy. It was even hailing for a while. It was so windy that several trees in the neighborhood fell down. One in our neighbors yard. We lost power a little after 6pm and didn't get it back until after 9pm.

Sunday wasn't any better. The wind picked back up and so did the rain. You could not be outside for even a couple of seconds without getting soaked. We had one tree in our yard that the top of it fell down and one tree in the neighbors yard fell down. There are tons and tons of branches and sticks all over the place. We lost power a little after 7pm and we didn't get it back until 3 or 4 am.

Another busy weekend

Julia came and picked me up Saturday morning a little before nine. We drove to Rich house to pack all our stuff in his car and then head to Rehoboth Beach, DE. It started out pretty good and we stopped at Dunkin Donuts for breakfast on the way down. They have a pretty new thing there now that is kinda like a slushy and it is so good!!! The strawberry one is definitely the best one! We got to the beach a little before none, so pretty late and there for hard to find a parking space. We find one after a while and everybody get out of the car. As lucky as I was I had my stuff in the back seat and got my stuff out. Bc it's now it's starting to go down hill a little. I walk up to the meter to put in a couple of quarters and I realize the meter is broken. Rich then has to move his car... but wait who closed the door? All doors was closed and locked... and where were the keys? yeah of course, they were inside the car! Luckily Rich left the window open (about 1 cm down). We tried, with a bunsh of different sticks, to push the button in the car that locks and unlocks the doors. But for some reason it didn't want to work. He then realizes that the windows he has in the roof is not locked and we might be able to open them up and that way we can get the keys. It took us about 10 minutes but we did it!! We got in to the car!! Man, what a reliefe! We got our stuff out of the car and walked down to the beach.

After an hour or two we decided to go boogie boarding. Doesn't that sounds like fun? The waves were great. They were pretty "big", big for being Rehoboth, so it were going to be easy for a beginner like me. Me julia and Rich all go out in the water with our boogie boards. I were actually doing pretty good and we all had a great time. Most of the time it was one big wave and then 5 or 6 small ones. I rode one wave in but I fell off. No problem, it's just to get up again and start over. But, I had the rope from the boogie board around my wrist so when the current pulled the boogie board out in the water again I couldn't get up and run up on land to save myself. Of course this time it wasn't one big wave and then a couple of small ones, it was 5 or 6 big ones coming in after my wave. They tossed me around pretty good and man it hurt! So now I have scrapes on my right hip/back/thigh, on the middle of my back, my left shoulder, my arms and my knees. It's not hurting as much anymore... I didnt realize I got hurt bc it didnt hurt when I finally made it out of the water. Rich was the one that saw it. After this we stayed another couple of hours on the beach before we headed to the outlets and then back to Rich house.

We woke up early Sunday morning, bc me, Julia, Rich, Lisa and Teresa (Rich sister and mom) were gonna go to The National Aquarium in Baltimore. We stopped at Dunkin Donuts today too for breakfast. We had tickets to get in to the aquarium at 10.30 but we didnt get there until 11 bc of traffic. We started out with seeing the dolphin show and it was great. Then we walked around the rest of the aquarium before we ended with seeing planet earth as a 4D movie, and that was cool!!!! We spent a couple of hours walking around Baltimore and I bought another Hard Roch Cafe shirt =) We even got to paddle the dragon boats.

It was a weekend filled with a lot of fun!

The last weekend

Mike came and picked me up on the motorcycle Friday. They just fixed it and I was really excited. We took a little longer way than usual to get to his house. Me like =) At his house Mike's mom was waiting for the movers to come. They were supposed to come between 3 and 5, they came a little after 8! After the movers left Mike and I went to Trolley square for a little to meet up with his friends Mike and Joe (It was the two of them that fixed my computer).

We went for a long motorcycle ride Saturday morning. I think we were gone for a little over 2 hours. It was soooooo much fun! I loved it! We went around on different back roads and our goal was to get ourselves lost and then find our way home again. It was a lot of fun. That night we were just hanging out at his house and he and his mom was making sure they had all the stuff they needed in Florida.

Sunday morning was sad. It wasn't easy to say good-bye, but we made it. He and his mom left for Florida not that long after and they made it all the way down to Tampa before 9pm.

I went with Lily, Luke and Donnie to go canoeing on Brandywine river Sunday afternoon. We were out for almost five and a half hours. We had a canoe that fit three people and a tube that 1-3 persons could sit in. It was fun. There were two smaller water falls I could go over with the tube and the kids and Donnie kind of went around with the canoe. That was just awesome. We brought lunch and snacks so we were set for the day =)

It was a happy 4th of July

We left for the beach Thursday last week. We went to the Krikelis family's beach house that they have in Bethany Beach, Delaware. We drove two cars down there so I could go back to PA when I wanted to. We got there kind of late in the afternoon so Thursday was no beach, we just went to the pool they had.

We had a good breakfast with bacon, eggs and fruit salad Friday morning before me Jennifer, Jamie and the kids went down to the beach. The weather was perfect. It was really nice and sunny, a bit windy but that felt good. The 4th of July parade in Bethany Beach is not on July 4th, it was on the 3rd. So at noon we left the beach for a little to go and see the parade. It was actually a pretty good parade. The kids were really excited bc many of the cars were throwing candy to the kids. Then its was lunch and more beach. The dads took the boat out so they could go fishing.

When I woke up Saturday morning had breakfast and then packed up my bags. Mike came down to the beach Friday and stayed at Rich (his cousin) family's beach house. I went there and then me, Mike, Rich and Chismo (Cody, Rich cousin) went down to the beach. It was even warmer today, no wind and no clouds. It was NICE! The waves were really good so we spent a lot of time in the water. I hrt both of my knees. One knee is just black and blue, and he other knee I twisted some how from flying in to Chismo bc one of the waves totally knocked me over. That knee still hurts but it's getting better.
We went out to dinner with Rich family to a place that had all you can eat buffe. Man that was good. They had everything you wanted, crab legs, clams, diffrent kinds of shrimp, meat, mac and cheese, salads deserts you name it and they had it. It was sooooo good. After that we went down to the beach and saw the 4th of July fireworks. They were really pretty.

We didn't do much Sunday. We washed Mike's car and that's pretty much it. But we were tired. We went to Cavalers (I think it was called) for dinner and fireworks. There they had a band playing that dressed up like the Beatles and sang beatles songs. They were really good. They sounded almost just like the Beatles. It was cool.
